Are breast implants safe to use?

Both saline (salt water filled) and silicone (silicone filled) breast implants have been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for safety and used in human patients. Silicone implants were removed from the market in the early ’90s, for safety concerns but then were reapproved in 2007 after the FDA found no evidence of deleterious effects
