Loose Skin? Try CoolSculpting

In February Kole Plastic Surgery introduced a new cosmetic technological enhancement to his Bucks County plastic surgery practice. It’s called CoolSculpting, and Dr. Kole says it has been unbelievable in helping his patients get rid of excess unwanted fat without having to undergo an invasive surgical procedure. CoolSculpting was specifically designed to eliminate unwanted bulges of fat under the skin without the recovery time associated with surgical procedures such as liposuction. Dr. Kole says many people work very hard to try to lose weight, but find that diet and exercise are just sometimes not enough to lose those extra stubborn bulges of unwanted fat. CoolSculpting is used to reduce fat in stubborn areas without incisions, scarring and recovery time. You can return to your normal activities immediately.

How does CoolSculpting work?

Using an advanced fat reduction technique called Cryolipolysis, Dr. Kole explains that CoolSculpting is designed to specifically target and break down fat cells in the treated areas using a the patented method of specifically controlled cooling, leaving the surrounding skin, blood vessels and nerves unharmed. He says the excess fat cells are cooled to a temperature and destroyed, and then cleared via the body’s lymphatic system and naturally eliminated. This CoolSculpting treatment leads to a gradual reduction of fat in the treated area which is initially noticeable at about two to three weeks and final results are seen within three to four months, as the frozen then killed fat cells are filtered out by the body.

CoolSculpting is designed to treat unwanted excess fat in the flanks (“love handles”), upper and lower abdomen, thighs, bra fat area, “man boobs” as well as the bottom of the arms. CoolSculpting provides a non-surgical alternative to liposuction especially in patients who don’t wish to undergo a procedure which requires anesthesia and recovery time like liposuction does.

Loose skin? CoolSculpting can help.

The CoolSculpting results are not immediately noticed because the frozen fat cells take several weeks to be absorbed from the body. This slow absorption is actually beneficial in patients who have less taught or looser skin because CoolSculpting allows the skin to contract slowly. In liposuction procedures, more fat is removed directly because of the invasive nature of liposuction but the disadvantage is that the fat is immediately removed and the skin has to retract

How long is the CoolSculpting treatment?

CoolSculpting treatment sessions take exactly one hour each. The total number of treatments varies from one session to over ten areas depending on how many specific body parts have excess unwanted fat. During treatment, Dr. Kole says his patients relax in our large spa chair, take a nap, read a book or magazine, surf the web or watch movies on our large screen TV. CoolSculpting patients report little to no discomfort during the CoolSculpting procedure, noting only a mild tingling sensation or slight pulling when the applicator head is placed.

With the addition of CoolSculpting to his practice, Dr. Kole feels that his patients will have an additional option besides liposuction for body sculpting. CoolSculpting is the best option for patients who were looking for a way to get rid of stubborn pockets of fat without surgery, needles, anesthesia and recovery time.
