The Chin augmentation operation is most frequently performed using IV sedation administered by the anesthesiologist. This procedure takes usually less than 1 hour to perform. For chin implants the incision can either be placed on the underside of the chin or through an intraoral ( in the mouth) incision. The intraoral incision is preferred by Dr. Kole as it leaves no visible external scarring.
