Latisse®

Centrally located in Southampton, PA and serving Philadelphia, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties, The Kole Plastic Surgery Center performs Latisse® treatment for patients looking for fuller eyelashes.

What Is Latisse®?

Latisse® is a clinically-proven way to permanently lengthen and define short eyelashes. If you’ve had to fumble with fake eyelashes or waste money on expensive mascaras to hide this problem, Dr. Kole may recommend Latisse® as a long-term solution. Most over-the-counter cosmetics can give a less-than-desired effect that’s short-lived. With a Latisse® regimen, however, you’ll begin to see the proven results within four weeks and full results usually by 12 weeks. You’ll never have to go back to fake eyelashes and mascara again.

Benefits of Latisse®

You’ll benefit from Latisse® in a variety of ways. By following a consistent, daily at-home regimen, you can:

  • Experience results within a few weeks.
  • Grow thicker, longer lashes.
  • See your lashes darken in color.

What Is the Procedure for Latisse®?

The first step is a consultation with Dr. Kole. He’ll provide you with information about benefits and possible side effects of the treatment. Once he determines that you’re an appropriate candidate for Latisse®, Dr. Kole will demonstrate how to apply it. Here’s how to apply Latisse® at home:

  1. Wash your face to remove all cosmetics, lotions or skin care products.
  2. Use a soft, clean cloth to dry your face.
  3. Place a single drop of Latisse® onto the application brush, holding the applicator brush horizontally.
  4. Slowly moving the applicator brush from the inside of the upper eyelid, apply Latisse® in a similar way to putting on liquid eyeliner.
  5. Gently remove the excess Latisse® using a cotton ball or soft cloth.

A popular time to apply Latisse® is right before bedtime—that way, Latisse® can be incorporated into your evening skin-care routine.

At Home Care

While Latisse® can be applied at home, it’s important to remember that it’s a prescription product and should be used as directed. Latisse® should not be applied to the lower eyelid or lashes. Avoid getting Latisse® in your eyes. The effectiveness of Latisse® depends upon your applying it consistently and following the instructions. Contact Dr. Kole with any questions, concerns or problems related to your Latisse® regimen.
