Nose Job Surgery for You
Based upon your customized alterations and enhancements we decided upon, you will have surgery where incisions will be put on the inner part of your nostrils or on the outer part between them. Most often the incisions are placed outside, as is needed when any work is being done on the end tip. Nose job surgery healing, in most cases, is excellent and usually scars are rarely visible. Nose job surgery usually lasts ninety minutes and takes place using an IV with general anesthesia. You will sleep while the procedure is performed and woken up in the operating room when the surgery is finished then sent to be observed in the recovery room.
Recovery from Rhinoplasty
Be prepared for the following:
- Congestion
- Swelling around the nose, cheeks, eyelids and forehead
- Minor bruising
- Possible headaches until congestion subsides
All of these symptoms are temporary and will subside after the first few weeks after surgery. For the first 2-4 weeks you must relax and stay less active than normal. In the beginning you cannot bend forward. Sunscreen must be used for a minimum of three months after nose job surgery due to the sensitivity of the skin. Complete nasal healing sometimes takes a full year. Each person heals differently, but after a full year, all internal swelling is normally completed.
