Centrally located in Southampton, PA and serving Philadelphia, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties, Kole Plastic Surgery Center Center, led by Kole Plastic Surgery, a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, is dedicated to providing each patient with high-quality, personalized care. Allergan recently went public with the news that their latest Juvederm® product, Volbella® XC, received FDA approval. It is the only product that can correct lip lines and enhance lips with results that last for up to a year. Dr. Kole offers Juvederm® Volbella® treatments to local residents desiring skin rejuvenation.

What is Volbella®?

Volbella® is the brand new injectable filler that is designed just for the lips and the region around the mouth. It has the ability to restore lip volume while adding definition, smooth the fine lines that develop around the lips and reduce depressions that form at the corners of the mouth.

Volbella® is similar to Voluma™ . They were both developed with Vycross™ technology, which gives attractive natural results that have been proven to last up to a year. It even has an anesthetic to reduce any discomfort felt when the product is injected.

Where Volbella® differs from other injectables is that its exclusive formula was created expressly for the lips and the surrounding area. It also exclusively deals with the concerns of overfilling and deflation. The gel filler is extremely smooth, which means your lips will fill smooth and your results will be subtle and natural looking. With Volbella®, you can be confident you won’t end up with a cartoon looking smile.

How do I know I can trust Volbella® with my smile?

Volbella® and other Juvederm® products are made with hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring acid that gently plumps your lips as it smooths out the fine creases around your mouth. Volbella® contains Vycross™ technology, which has a lower hydrophilic composition, resulting in a more natural look. Dr. Kole injects the gel with a very small needle. In recent studies, 98 percent of patients say that they are happy with their results after trying Volbella® injections.

How long does Volbella® last?

Unlike other fillers, the results of Volbella® last. Eighty percent of patients who have used this filler report they are still happy with their finished results up to a year after they had the treatment.

What can Volbella® lip injections do for you?

  • Smooth vertical lines above and below the lips
  • Add definition to the border of the lips
  • Plump the lips and add natural looking fullness
  • Enhance the Cupid’s bow, the “M” shaped area above the lips.
  • Plump and fill the “marionette lines” that run from the edges of the mouth to the chin

What should I expect before Volbella® treatment?

Prior to the procedure, you will meet with Dr. Kole to discuss your expectations and desires. He will answer any questions you may have and together you can decide if you are a good fit for Volbella® injections. When you undergo the treatment, you could be given several injections. The first injections tend to cause the most discomfort, but once the incorporated local anesthetic takes effect, the rest of the injections are relatively painless. The entire procedure takes approximately 20 minutes.

What should I do after Volbella® treatment?

After the treatment is finished, you will be given an ice pack to reduce any swelling or redness that could occur. Arnica supplements are also a fantastic way to quicken the healing process. It is a good idea to forgo wearing makeup for at least 12 hours, and during that time, it is also important to avoid sun exposure as much as possible. You shouldn’t experience any downtime after receiving Volbella® injections.

Will Volbella® injections hurt?

Because the gel is so smooth and Dr. Kole uses a very small needle, the injection is easy to administer. Each syringe has 0.3 percent of lidocaine incorporated into the gel, which helps to reduce the discomfort of the injections.

Will there be swelling after Volbella®?

Some people do experience minimal swelling and even a little bruising after treatment. Volbella® doesn’t absorb as much water as comparable injectables and as a result, it causes less swelling. Most patients report a speedy recovery time, saying that the moderate swelling and bruising they experienced lasted less than a week. Reactions to Volbella® injections are rare because hyaluronic acid is a substance your body already creates naturally.

Can Volbella® treatments be combined with other treatments?

It is possible to combine Volbella® with laser treatments to further treat the area around the mouth. Dr. Kole can help you develop a treatment plan that will let you achieve the look you desire.

What Is the Cost of Volbella® in Philadelphia and Bucks County?

The cost Voluma™ varies depending on the extent of treatment necessary to achieve optimum results.

The Kole Plastic Surgery Center Center accepts cash, check, and credit card (MasterCard®, Visa®, American Express®, Discover®) as acceptable forms of payment.

Financing is also available through CareCredit®, United Medical Credit, and Advanced Care.
