Can I breast feed with breast implants?

Breast implants will not affect the ability to breast feed because the implants are usually placed under the chest wall muscle. There have been some studies of the old type of silicone implants (prior to 1992) having silicone particles in the breast milk after they have ruptured, but these implants are not in use any longer. The areolar incision may sever some milk ducts but this is usually not a probem with breast feeding
