A neck lift is performed by making a small transverse incision in the crease of the chin, and using a small light source and specialized instrumentation, the bands in the neck are identified and sutured back into their correct anatomical position. In addition, the muscles at the edge of the jaw line are placed under tension behind the ear and also sutured back to their ideal position. Through an incision around the earlobe and behind the ear, the redundant skin is excised to leave a more youthful appearance.
