Kole Plastic Surgery Center Center provides rhinoplasty for the residents of Warminster, PA.
What Is Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty is surgery for the nose used to do any of the following:
- Correct a deviated septum to produce better alignment and improve breathing
- Create nasal symmetry
- Change nose size in relation to the face
- Adjust the width of the nostrils or the bridge
- Smooth bumps and depressions in the nose
How Is Rhinoplasty Performed?
Before rhinoplasty is performed, you will receive an evaluation. This evaluation will determine your needs for the surgery (appearance or medical), your medical history, and your options.
After the evaluation, Dr. Kole will devise a plan for your procedure. On the day of your rhinoplasty, you will be placed under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation.
Dr. Kole will make incisions based upon the corrections to be made. The procedure includes bone or cartilage removal for restructuring of the nose and skin excisions or the addition of cartilage for reshaping the nose.
For a deviated septum, Dr. Kole will straighten/align the bone to create a passage suitable for breathing.
After the reshaping/restructuring is finished, Dr. Kole will close all incisions and use splints and gauze to support the nose’s healing. These are generally removed after 2 to 3 days.
