In addition, patients requesting a breast lift may be highly satisfied with a breast augmentation in addition to the breast lift to increase the breast volume so less extra breast skin needs to be excised. Beginning with the initial breast lift cosmetic consultation, Dr. Kole listens to your aesthetic breast goals, which is the most important part of the initial process. The next step is a breast examination which consists of a breast examination, paying particular attention to overall chest circumference, symmetry, nipple position, volume and breast density as well as volume and location of the breast tissue. By doing a complete examination and taking measurements, Dr. Kole can determine if you are a candidate for one of three breast lift surgical techniques:
- Circumareolar (concentric breast lift) is for very small lifts with an implant to fill up most of the volume.
- Vertical (lollipop breast lift) is for an intermediate lift, lifting the breast several centimeters with an implant.
- Inverted T-Shaped (anchor-shaped breast lift) is for with significant excess skin with or without a breast implant.
Dr. Kole selects the best breast lift technique based on the distance needed to lift the breast as well as the extra skin volume that needs to be removed to get your ideal breast shape. Regardless of the technique Dr. Kole uses a surgical procedure to minimize scars as well as spare as much native breast tissue possible.
