What is a diastasis recti?

A diastasis recti is the medical term for the separation of the abdominal wall muscles in the midline after childbirth or weight fluctuations. This separation is repaired with permanent sutures in a full tummy tuck from the breast bone to the pubic bone in a full tummy tuck.
